Homeland Today

Homeland today is still a dynamic, a place where spiritual enquiry is still the purpose and intent of the group. Ideally, homeland is an extended family, a place of coming together in the pursuit of spiritual values. homeland works best when we put aside the personal I and all my wants, focussing instead on the needs of the group as a Whole. homeland is, and always will be, different things to different people. It offers both the positive and negative of life the choice is ours.

Homeland contains a type of chemistry, the unique dynamic of group interaction. Again, we choose whether we will use this for positive growth, or to precipitate a slide into into negative thinking and action. Perhaps one of the most difficult lessons we can face is how to responsibly handle freedom. homeland offers us the freedom and space to become aware of and find our Self, yet even within a group, the responsibility of this is entirely personal. To be creative and happy at homeland we need only give of our Selves.

During its history homeland has been through a number of growth experiences due to various difficulties both legal and personal. Those members who have seen it through have gained valuable experience and insight, and the Community today is in many ways stronger and more stable than ever before. Also, the ongoing energy and enthusiasm of our prospective members has acted as a source of inspiration contributing towards the general feeling of optimism and growth, and the fulfilment of our collective vision. homeland was born from a vision of caring and loving. Despite all changes, Loving and Caring remains the cohesion which unites us. This is the dynamic of homeland.

At this time (June 2005) there are 14 members, 2 prospective members, 13 children, plus 2 guests living here and sharing this beautiful land. This number is ever changing. All adult members and prospective members give a sum of money each week to homeland. This collective contribution not only maintains day-to-day running costs but allows for homeland's continued growth and ehancement in the form of new projects and ideas.

a Homeland is a non profit organisation and we donate a minimum of 10% of our gross income to worthy local, national and international causes and charities each year. We welcome guests to homeland, inviting them to participate in the adventure of working together for the manifestation of our brightest visions and the unfolding of the whole potential within ourselves. We also welcome Willing Workers On Organic Farms (W.W.O.O.Fers).
