"Le Cayron", at the edge of Bellingen, is located half
way between the ocean (Urunga/Hungry Heads) and the mountains
(Dorrigo), with links to both Urunga and Dorrigo. Situated next
to the Old Butter Factory and the Golf
course, Le Cayron is walking distance from town, yet you feel you are miles away from everything.
This beautiful old style (late 1800's) two storey home retains many of it's original features including
the timber lined walls, polished six inch floor boards, high ceilings and intricate timber work and arches.
Le Cayron can accommodate up to12 people. There are two double bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed
and the other with a queen size bed, plus a lounge room that has a sofa bed and can also be used as a
third bedroom. There is also a small room with a single bed and bunk-beds and a single bed in the sunroom.
 
The bathroom is roomy with a delightful spa bath, and is enhanced with the use of glass bringing the
outside in. The kitchen is fully equipped and roomy. Downstairs is huge and includes a kitchenette, a
bathroom and an additional double bedroom, as well as two large play-rooms, one with a ping-pong table
while the other can be used as an artist space.
There is also a large carport. The garden faces the mountains and there is an uninterrupted view of the
countryside. Drop over for a coffee at the nearby Old Butter Factory, walk up to town or just enjoy this
private rural setting near the river with fabulous rural and mountain views and lovely breezes.
Le Cayron is a fantastic house for family holidays and could accommodate two families. In addition to
the ping-pong table, it has bicycles, board games and lots of books. It is also perfect for an artist
or writer in search of a place to create.
