Urunga Footbridge - the Urunga Footbridge stretches 600 meters from the Lido (salt water pool) beside the caravan park to the heads of the Bellingen and Kalang River. It is a popular way to access the north end of Hungry Head Beach with its surfing and surf casting. Fishermen use the footbridge on the turning tide to catch a variety of coastal species.

Hungry Head Beach (surf patrolled) - Hungry Head beach is an unspoiled, spacious surf beach a short distance from Maino Gabuna. It is home to the Urunga Surf Club which patrols the beach during the summer. Showers, BBQs and parking are on hand.

"Sand Mines" Surfing - Maino Gabuna is a short drive to the popular surfing spot on Hungry Head Beach known as "Sand Mines". Sand Mines is between the headland and the mouth of the Bellinger River.

Clubs & Pubs - Urunga is home to a Bowling Club (Bonville Street), a Golf Club (Morgo Street) and a Public Bar. All these locations offer food and cable TV services.
