Camp Creative is a summer camp for families and individuals, a fun learning event where you mix with people of widely differing interests and ages in a relaxing and creative atmosphere.

 

To spend five days in an environment of creativity and encouragement and amongst young and old alike can be a very uplifting experience.

2023 March TBA 8.00am - 2.00pm Bellingen Autumn Plant Fair

The Bellingen's Autumn Plant Fair at the Bellingen Market Park has over 70 plant nursery stalls, information stalls, hourly workshops and activities with undercover seating, and plenty of expert horticultural advice available.


Fine food, musicians, free entry, lots of bargains and the chance to win a barrow full of plants donated by the stallholders, make this a great day out for garden lovers.


The Autumn Plant Fair is a fundraiser for the Bellingen Environment Centre and sponsored by the Bellingen Community Markets.

2023 May Saturday 13th - Sunday 14th   Bellingen Agricultural Show

Showcasing the rich diversity of our area the show has something for everyone from woodchop, cattle, horse and showjumping programmes, fantastic pavilions full of wonderful produce, jams, cakes and crafts, Mantova Art Exhibition, photographic exhibition, pedigree and mongrel dog shows, all the fun of sideshow alley and a full entertainment schedule profiling the region's up and coming talents.

 

The Festival’s “boutique” feel has given the music an immediacy that is so important to create a link between the performers and the audience.

2023 June Friday 9th - Sunday 11th 8.00am - 8.00pm Bellingen Readers and Writers Festival

With a focus on contemporary Australian writers, the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival is working towards presenting an exciting line-up of literary talent once again to be held on the long weekend in June 2019. The festival will offer a fun, intimate, thought-provoking and at times challenging program in a range of venues from the historic Bellingen Memorial Hall to intimate cafes and restaurants around town.

2023 July TBA Various Bello Winter Music Festival

The team behind the successful Mullum Music Festival is thrilled to announce the addition of another family friendly, small town music event to the festival calendar.

BELLO WINTER MUSIC will bring international, national and local performers to the pubs, halls and street corners of the picturesque town of Bellingen for a perfect long weekend of music and entertainment.

While Bello Winter Music will be unique to Bellingen, there will be some shared acts and programming crossovers with its summer sibling the Mullum Music Festival. Bello Winter Music will include a Youth Mentorship Program, lots of family-friendly activities, street theatre and a healthy dose of local performers.

Bellingen Spring Plant Fair


Spring is the ideal time to make those planting additions to your garden, orchard or farm!

Bellingen's Spring Plant Fair has nursery stalls with a huge variety of tropical and sub-tropical, native, exotic or food-bearing plants, garden supplies, Information stalls, hourly workshops with undercover seating and plenty of expert horticultural advice.

 

Fine Food, Musicians and Free Entry make an all weather event and a great family day out for garden lovers.

Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival

We welcome old and new festival patrons to Dorrigo Mountain for an intimate and friendly three-day weekend of acoustic music featuring some of the very best Folk and Bluegrass and Old-Time country musicians from around Australia and overseas.

 

It's a time when our picturesque Dorrigo showground comes alive with concerts, workshops, dancing, jamming, impromptu performances, poetry and children's entertainment.

 

The Festival will follow as closely as circumstances allow to our normal programme.

The Dorrigo Show

The primary focus of the Agricultural Show is to serve as a showcase for the talents of the residents, local organisations and particularly the youth of the community. The Show kicks off at 2pm on Friday with the Junior Beef sections.

 

The show features the Coffs Harbour Regional Brass Band, wood chopping, pumpkin growing contest, woodwork competition, scarecrow competition, ute challenge, tug of war, model trains, show bags, magic show, veteran and vintage car club, bush dog trials, a grand parade, and much more.

Over 15 stalls offering a wide range of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, seafood, bread, eggs, honey and jams chutneys and preserves made from local fresh ingredients. Bellopy Organic Farmers Markets

The biggest 100% organic and humane choice farmers market in the mid north coast. Poultry Sale
The Bellinger River District Poultry Club puts on a poultry sale on the second Saturday of every month. All types of chooks and waterfowl, also rabbits sometimes. Bring your excess birds and the Poultry Club will try to sell them for you

As one of the oldest and largest markets on the coast we showcase over 260 diverse stalls there's something for everyone. From new, unique to used we have local produce, art, craft, 2nd hand, bric n brac, vintage, beauty & body products, toys, books, music, clothing, health and healing, massage and a smorgasbord of delicious multicultural hot and cold food, coffee and drinks.

Live music on main stage and local community group representation.

Exhibition Openings

The Nexus Community Gallery has Exhibition Openings once a month usually on Sunday afternoons from 3-6pm. The Gallery is located in the picturesque courtyard of the Bellingen Old Butterfactory. Come and enjoy Wine and Finger food and help local Artists celebrate their achievements. The Nexus Gallery is a volunteer Organisation run by the Committee and members of the Bellingen community Arts Council

2023 June Sunday 25th 12:00 - 6:00pm Terra Firma - Fire Cooking Masterclass

During this 6h cooking class, you will learn all the basics to nail a cook-up over an open fire.

You will learn how to prepare the different proteins and vegetables to cook them over the fire.

You will learn all the different stages of fire and how to cook and manage the heat during the whole cooking process.

Following the masterclass, you will enjoy a lunch under the trees (or under cover in case of weather) to feast and enjoy all the delicious food we have been cooking together.
